Long established in the bespoke kitchens sector, MASS pure hi-tech concrete surfaces have taken off in contract interiors thanks to their combination of robustness and minimalist chic.
Examples range from feature bars and coffee lounge tables, vanity tops and washrooms to reception and information desks.
Cooler to the touch than laminates and warmer than stone, MASS surface finishes vary from a fine and flawless semi-matt that is silky smooth, to a rougher looking raw concrete with voids and swirls. Their contemporary look complements timber, glass, stainless steel and ceramic.
The surfaces come in a range of useful colours, including the natural greys of concrete as well as whites, creams, browns, blacks and pastel shades of blue, green and yellow. Standard thicknesses are available from 40-100mm, seamlessly cast to almost any shape and size.
MASS use a patented micro-concrete technology to achieve a combination of high strength performance, lightness, heat and stain resistance that contrasts sharply with the heavy and porous nature of standard concrete.
The result is a fine-looking high calibre surface that is quickly installed, easy to clean, virtually stain-resistant, anti-microbial and robust.
